Citing a commitment to family and the offer of a lifetime, Sean Cummings has announced that he will leave his position as president of Brunswick Billiards effective Nov. 14 to accept an equity position at a privately held industrial products company located just minutes from his Milwaukee, Wis., home.

“The move will ensure that my wife and I will be in the Milwaukee area to care for aging parents and allow my children to complete high school in a community that they have come to love,” Cummings, 45, said in a letter sent via e-mail to Brunswick’s dealer network and other interested billiard industry parties.

Cummings’ departure from Brunswick Corp., for whom he had worked for 12 years, comes just three years after taking over the billiards division from John Stransky. Stransky, who is credited with reviving the Brunswick Billiards brand during his six-year stint as division president, had been promoted to president of Brunswick’s $500 million Bowling & Billiards division.
