Coleman helped raise awareness of the benefits of getting outside by supporting the National Get Outdoors Day Campaign on June 14. The inaugural NGOD offered American families unique opportunities to reconnect to the great outdoors at more than 50 events across the country.
Each National Get Outdoors Day event offered a mix of information centers and “active fun” areas – places where guests, and especially kids, could use a fishing pole, go geocaching, help pitch a tent and more. The campaign allowed thousands families and youth the opportunity to experience the natural beauty of outside.
