Nigeria Olympic Committee weekend presented general sport wear, made up of tracksuits (top and bottom), windbreakers (top and bottom) tee-shirts, polo shirts, half pants, baseball caps, socks, and sports bags, manufactured by Mizuno Inc and donated by the Japanese Olympic Committee to the National Sports Commission.
Mizuno is one of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) equipment suppliers to the Beijing Olympic Games.
Presenting the sport wears to the minister of sports/chairman, NSC, Abdulrahman Hassan Gimba, represented by the director general, Dr. Amos Adamu. The NOC president, Engr. Habu Gumel, said the items would be used by Nigerian athletes at the Olympics.
"We are glad that what started as a casual relationship with the Japanese Olympic Committee has today matured into a fledging partnership with promising prospects of better things to come."
Gumel said NOC remains committed to its noble objectives, which include supporting the training and development of Niger......
