Roy Plunkett opened the John Rogers League at Bowling World in Fort Smith with his first 300 game. He tacked on games of 162 and ® for a 636 series.

“All the balls were in the pocket, although it seemed liked I wasn’t throwing my best ball, but I just kept on striking,” said Plunkett, who is retired. “After the 300, I was very nervous and couldn’t keep my concentration. I bowled with the late John Rogers for many years. He told me that someday it would happen, 300, and it did.” Plunkett, 59, started bowling at 12 at Park Lanes in Fort Smith. He has one 298 game, five 11-strikesin-a-row awards, including a 297, and a 765 high.

He used a Columbia Rock ball and averages 210.
